2 States Power issue infront of centre - Online State News

The power sharing issues between the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana state are now has been in the hands of central government.

The cancellation of PPA (Power Purchase Agreement) is illegal, which is said by Telangana government and also asked Andhra Pradesh government to follow the bifurcation procedures.

Meanwhile SRLDC said to Andhra Pradesh to wait on the cancellation of PPA till the hearing the centre decision on this matter.

Telangana Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma, Genco chairman managing director D. Prabhakarrao and others had an emergency meeting on this matter and discussed on the loss caused to the state. Finally they decided to bring in the notice of centre and if possible they will has a talk with Prime Minister Modi.

On the other hand Telangana government is planning to purchase 350 megawatts of power from NTPC (National Thermal Power Corporation). And there is a news that NTPC agreed for this.
